Luca Bojola is the founder and Head of Design of Studio Bojola.
His self-tought creative path has been unconventional and iconoclastic. An elite athlete in high school competing for the Italian national rowing team. Bojola enrolled in medical school at the University of Florence. Four years later he left medicine and ventured into the world of craft and production to work with master glassblower Moretti in Murano, Venice. He then launched a self-produced line of decorative accessories.
An avid sailor since childhood, in 1978 Bojola moved to St. Croix, U.S.Virgin Islands, to combine his love for water with his desire to create by taking on the role of artistic director for Artistic Ceramic Corporation, a gift-making workshop. Upon returning to Florence in 1983, Luca Bojola opened Studio Bojola in a converted barn located in the beautiful countryside minutes south of Florence.
