mini-ostrica-tide-blue-glazed
Mini Ostrica — Hand-Modelled Tuscan Ceramic Sculpture, Tide Blue Glazed

The same shell form, a different relationship with light. The Mini Ostrica in tide blue glazed is finished with a glossy petrol-blue glaze rather than the matte patina of the other versions the fired glaze catching and reflecting light from the surface, turning the ceramic from a purely tactile object into one that has optical presence as well. The tide blue glaze varies in depth: darker in the recesses of the shell-form relief, lighter on the peaks and edges, following the topography of the form with chromatic precision that only hand-glazing produces. The glossy surface also heightens the sculptural definition of every curve and groove. Created for La Pensione America. H 26 cm, L 20 cm, 2.5 kg. Hand-shaped and hand-patinated in Tuscany, Italy. Born from Studio Bojola's collaboration with Ceramiche Ceccarelli, a three-generation ceramic workshop whose original moulds have been reimagined and reinterpreted. Each piece is unique no two are identical.

· Material: Hand-modelled ceramic
· Finish: Tide blue high-gloss glaze, hand-applied
· Dimensions: H 26 cm, L 20 cm
· Weight: 2.5 kg
· Each piece: Unique
· Origin: Handmade in Italy
· Created for: La Pensione America
· Collection: Natura Naturante — Studio Bojola
· H: 26 cm, L: 20 cm
· 2,5 kg of ceramics

For further information please get in touch at studio@bojola.com
