Conus — Hand-Modelled Tuscan Ceramic Urn

The Conus is the most classical form in the Natura Naturante collection an urn shape derived from the turned and ribbed vocabulary of historical Italian ceramics, standing on a moulded pedestal with a wide, open mouth.
Its name references the cone shell one of nature's most precise forms and like all pieces in Natura Naturante, its origin is in the redesign and reassembly of original moulds from a historic Tuscan ceramics workshop of three generations.
In Var. Profondo, the deep navy patina is built up by hand, collecting in the valleys of the spiral ribbing to create depth and shadow. The urn reads as a contemporary interpretation of something that might have stood in a Tuscan garden centuries ago but the patination and the Studio Bojola design eye make it entirely of the present.
A piece for collectors and for interiors that place the same value on objects as on furniture.
