Fumèdor the colour of smoke softened by gold. In this tonality, the lead crystal of Cor shifts from clear precision to something warmer and more opaque: a glass that catches light without releasing it, that holds the depth of the colour inside the density of the material.
The same oval form as all Cor pieces fitting two hands, cool and weighted but the Fumèdor gives the object a different register: more interior, more private. Like a memory made physical.
Handblown and diamond-engraved by hand in the historic glassmaking workshops of Empoli, Tuscany. The deep diagonal grooves that reference the musculature of the human heart are as present in this coloured glass as in the clear  but read differently, absorbed into the smoky depth of the crystal.
