Tall, slender, and chromatic. The Filicudi at H 47 cm and diam. 12 cm is one of the most vertical vases in the collection a narrow cylinder topped with the characteristic rounded cap, in light violet crystal that shifts between lavender and amethyst depending on the angle and quality of light. In light violet, the Filicudi occupies a unique register in the collection: the colour is warm enough to feel organic and botanical, cool enough to feel refined and considered. A single tall stem in the Filicudi light violet creates a composition where the material and plant material share a chromatic register. At 4 kg in a slender 12 cm form, the density of the crystal makes the narrow tube unexpectedly heavy. Each crystal is mouth-blown into an original cast iron mould from a historic Italian glassware workshop active since 1945 each shape comes to life through a single breath.
