The only vase in the collection available in a craquelé finish. The Mergellina in Green + Clear Craquelé is a bicolour two-piece vase where the clear element has a craquelé surface a technique that creates a network of fine internal fracture lines within the crystal, giving the glass a texture that is simultaneously fragile-looking and structurally intact. The craquelé finish is achieved during the blowing process the hot crystal is briefly plunged into cold water, creating the internal network of fracture lines before it is reheated and shaped. The result is a surface that catches and scatters light differently from any other finish in the collection. At H 26 cm, L 12 cm and 3 kg. Also available in solid colours. Each crystal is mouth-blown into an original cast iron mould from a historic Italian glassware workshop active since 1945 each shape comes to life through a single breath.
