The most imposing two-piece vase in the entire Studio Bojola collection. At H 66 cm, L 15 cm and 8.5 kg of pure crystal, the Ustica amber is the tallest and heaviest two-piece vase in the range a soaring, narrow column of warm golden crystal that commands any space it occupies. In amber crystal, the height and the color work together: as the light travels up the 66 cm of lead crystal, the amber intensifies and shifts lighter at the base where it catches the surface it stands on, deeper toward the wide rounded cap at the top. The cap, when lifted, becomes an independent vase with its slightly flat underside. The Ustica is a floor piece as much as a table piece at its height, it reads as a sculptural column when placed on the floor, a defining decorative presence when on a large console. At 8.5 kg of purecrystal, it has the physical weight that corresponds to its visual scale. Each crystal is mouth-blown into an original cast iron mould from a historic Italian glassware workshop active since 1945 each shape comes to life through a single breath.
