Fluid where the other Natura Naturante pieces are structural. The Anemone is a tall ceramic vase with a swirling surface its ribbing running in diagonal spirals that give the form a rotational energy, as if still turning from when the craftsman's hands last touched it.
The name is precise: a sea anemone is an organic form of radial symmetry and constant motion and the Anemone vase captures that quality in fired ceramic. Born from the redesign of a historic three-generation Tuscan ceramics workshop's original moulds, the form has been cut and reassembled into something new that preserves the legacy of the original making.
In Var. Burro, the ivory-cream matte finish reads like unglazed porcelain or old stone cool in tone, warm in material association. The slight variations in patina from piece to piece are inherent to the hand-finishing process.
