Pattern as architecture. The Baguette takes its name from the elongated faceted cut that defines its surface a pattern that refers as much to classical gem-cutting as it does to contemporary design. Hand-engraved in Italy, the baguette motif creates a series of vertical channels along the surface of the glass catching light along their length and creating a rhythmic, almost textile quality on the crystal. In the small clear format, it is a precision object: a tumbler for spirits, a study in detail.
