The heaviest and most architectural piece in the Corallo series. At H 45 cm, L 14 cm and 3 kg of pure crystal entirely in amber, the Corallo n°8 is a tall, assertive column of warm golden crystal the colour saturating the full height of the narrow tube. Where the n°2 achieves verticality through bicolour contrast, the n°8 achieves it through monochrome amber intensity. By natural light, the amber crystal ranges from warm honey to deep gold. By artificial light, it becomes incandescent. At 3 kg in a narrow 14 cm tube, the density of the lead crystal is concentrated to a degree that makes the n°8 surprisingly heavy in the hand. The most dramatic piece in the coral family. Each crystal is mouth-blown into an original cast iron mould from a historic Italian glassware workshop active since 1945 each shape comes to life through a single breath.
